Ambani Scholarship 2026: Eligibility, Amount, Documents and Application Process

College fees are only part of the cost of higher education. Books, accommodation and daily travel can also stretch a family’s budget. For students looking for financial help, the Ambani Scholarship 2026 is a search term commonly associated with the Reliance Foundation Scholarships 2026–27.

In this post, we cover the Reliance Foundation undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Both support students studying in India, but their eligibility rules and selection processes differ.

What is the Ambani Scholarship 2026?

Reliance Foundation offers scholarships to eligible students beginning their undergraduate or postgraduate studies. The undergraduate programme considers academic merit and financial need, while the postgraduate programme supports promising students in selected fields.

The support extends beyond money. Scholars can access mentoring, leadership activities, industry interactions and a community of fellow students and alumni.

Undergraduate scholarship amount

Selected undergraduate students will receive up to ₹2 lakh over their degree programme.

Postgraduate scholarship amount

Selected postgraduate students will receive up to ₹6 lakh over their degree programme.

Who Can Apply for the Undergraduate Scholarship?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Indian citizen residing in India.
  • Must have 60% marks in Class 12.
  • Be enrolled in the first year of a regular, full-time undergraduate degree for 2026–27.
  • Have annual household income of ₹15 lakh or less.
  • Study at a NAAC-accredited or UGC-recognised institution in India.

Preference is given to applicants with household income below ₹2.5 lakh. There is no age limit if the remaining conditions are met.

Who is not eligible?

Students in second year or above, those studying through non-regular modes, and those in two-year or six-year undergraduate programmes are excluded. Applicants must complete the mandatory aptitude test.

Check the exact course duration and admission year on your college records before applying.

Who Can Apply for the Postgraduate Scholarship?

Applicants must be Indian resident enrolled in the first year of an eligible, regular, full-time postgraduate programme in India.

The academic requirement is either:

  • A GATE 2026 score between 550 and 1,000; or
  • An undergraduate CGPA of at least 7.5, or the accepted percentage equivalent.

There is no family-income ceiling for this category.

Which subjects are covered?

Selected programmes fall within Engineering, Technology, Energy and Life Sciences. Relevant subject areas include computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics and computing, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, energy, materials science and life sciences.

Your exact degree must appear in the eligible programme list. A related subject within a different degree does not automatically qualify.

Online, distance, part-time, integrated MTech and PhD programmes are excluded.

Are PAN and a Bank Account Necessary?

For undergraduate applicants, PAN and bank details are due after submitting the main form. Use an active, KYC-compliant account in your name; minors must be the first holder of a joint account. A passbook copy or personalised cheque is required.

If you need to arrange these documents, begin early rather than leaving them until the submission window closes.

How Are Students Selected?

Undergraduate selection

Applications and aptitude performance are assessed, followed by verification and final selection. Academic information and financial circumstances matter.

Postgraduate selection

The process includes application review, the aptitude test, document verification and a virtual interview for shortlisted applicants.

For interview preparation, revisit your application. Be ready to explain your studies, interests, experiences and career plans in your own words.

Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an award.

How Can You Check Your Application Status?

Keep your application number and check the registered email account and application portal for updates. Look in the spam folder if an expected message is missing.

If you contact support, include your name, application details and a short description of the issue. A screenshot of an error can help, but never share your OTP or password.

Is the Scholarship Renewable?

Undergraduate renewal depends on continued enrolment, academic progress and compliance with programme conditions. Required annual documents must also be submitted.

Selected students should read their award terms carefully and keep a record of reporting deadlines. Do not assume that later payments are automatic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can postgraduate students apply without GATE?

Yes, through the qualifying undergraduate CGPA route, provided all other requirements are met.

Can students already in second year apply?

These programmes invite first-year applicants. Students in later years should look for other suitable scholarships.

Is there a guaranteed scholarship for everyone who applies?

No. An eligible and complete application is considered through the selection process; it is not an award confirmation.
